I F****** LOVE BRASS!

Posted by btriangle - August 13th, 2009

I sure do!

Ever since i got into using it since today, I have fallen in love with it.

Theres something about the sound that creates such unbelievable energy that i am constantly searching for in my music. From now im going to use as much as possible, in necessary situations.

Also, I am working hardcore on my music for the game "Three Pirates" Which is still in production.

Are plan on releasing is September, 27th. Im sure all of you will love it, we have worked insanely hard on this game.

Im still deciding whether i should put music from the game onto Newgrounds. If you guys convince me enough, i might consider doing it.

Also one more thing, by tomorrow i will know 100% if I am moving to california. Hope it all works out.

Anyways, I will let you know tomorrow.

Peace,

Jamal Corrie

P.S. My favorite Brass instrument.

I F****** LOVE BRASS!

brass is awesome. I fell in love with Staccato brass way early which is why every epic song I've ever written will have brass in it. Stac tuba is one of my favorites. Just blasts out the epic, coupled with some low trombones you get a really dirty gritty mix.

Though low french horn and tuba gets a more evil mix, mixing all three together can often create a muddle of mess so be careful which sound you want showing up front.

Another favorite ploy of mine is trombone chords in the C4-C5 range. Oh lordy nothing is more noble, more majestic sounding then harmonies with the trombone in this range. I'm sure you already know these but I like to rant :D!

Happy blasting.

Yeah dude I absolutely agree 100%. Im very new to Brass, so thanks for the advice.

I think the reason I finally started using Brass up until now, is because I never understood it. I mean it made me a bit confused, because i noticed when watching the school band that the Trombone, French Horn, and Tuba can go so low. Its not like strings, where each has its specific section that it generally plays in. Thats why I love it so much now.

I want to show you the song im writing so badly, it will bring a tear to that rageful eye lol. You will be like "Thats mah boy...using that brass"
